Driving lesson prices in Brighton and Hove

We strive to keep our rates competitive while providing premium in-car training aids to support your learning journey. We offer manual driving lessons in Brighton, Hove, Shoreham, Portslade and Southwick.

Every new driver is different and it is hard to assess the amount of time it will take you to learn to drive as this is often dependent upon an individual’s learning abilities, previous skills and the hours of practice you can put in.

You are in good hands with our Grade A Approved Driving Instructor. Guy has over 25 years experience in teaching people to drive and his style of teaching and expertise encourages beginners to gain confidence and learn quicker.

Standard prices for manual driving lessons *

Cancellations & Moving Lessons (for all lessons except 6 or more hours in the same week)

24 HOURS NOTICE – To help us manage our diary, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. For Monday lessons, please let us know by 5 PM on the preceding Saturday so we have time to re-allocate the slot.

MOVING LESSONS – Lessons can only be moved 2 weeks ahead to the nearest available date, unless we have no diary space. We do not move lessons months ahead and will only move them on by 2 weeks unless we have no available slots.

REPEATED CANCELLATIONS – Consistency is key to learning! To ensure all students have fair access to the diary, we may be unable to continue lessons for those with frequent cancellations. In these cases, a refund for unused hours will be issued (minus a £30 admin fee).

Refunds

Changed your mind? No problem. We refund all unused lessons (excluding the block-booking discount) within 3 months of purchase. Please note that a standard £30 administration fee applies to all processed refunds.

Discounts on blocks are not refunded, and used lessons will be charged at full price.

This must be claimed within 3 months, after this no refunds will be issued. Lessons will not be replaced. 

TEST DAY CANCELLATIONS REQUIRE A FULL 72 HOUR NOTICE

CANCELLING 6 or more HOURS IN THE SAME WEEK REQUIRES FULL 48 HOUR NOTICE. Note cancellations after 5pm Saturday are classes as Monday.

Terms and Conditions

Your instructor will text you upon arrival and wait for 15 minutes. If we don’t hear from you within that time, we’ll have to consider the lesson missed to keep the rest of the day’s schedule on track.

If lessons remain unused for a period of longer than 3 months for any reason, and you have not been in touch, there is no refund or replacement of lessons. Refunds must be claimed within 3 months, after this, no refunds will be issued. An administration fee of £30 for all refunds will apply. (If your bank does not accept bank transfers, a chaps transfer fee of £25 will be incurred.)

Block booking discounts are non-refundable. Just like in some industries, you get a discount on a product or service by booking on the internet, you are getting a discount for booking more than one lesson with the instructor and committing to a course of lessons. If under any special circumstances you then stop or change your mind and we agree to a refund, the discount will not be applied to any refund given. This means the number of lessons you have had from the block booking will be charged at the normal hourly rate and deducted from the amount you paid before any monies are returned. Cash refunds will not be given.

If Block Booking lessons are cancelled and pushed into the future, and fuel prices and charges rise within that period, we will need to charge pupils the difference between the hourly rates.

Fuel Cost increases

All booked lesson prices/dates contracted will be honoured. However, if our prices rise during the course of your block of lessons due to fuel costs, and you choose to move your dates forward into the diary year, past the last lesson date on your block, a top up to the new lesson prices will apply. Any lesson moved within the dates can be moved without extra charge.
